And where does the music play? That was the legitimate question when looking at the most recently published design for the interior.
The selected illustration only shows an iPad connected to the pipe. In this variant, the audio signal is received by a Bluetooth-capable amplifier and output via cable through the speakers installed in the vehicle. However, there is also a so-called DIN slot behind the iPad and, in principle, a “normal” car radio could be installed there as an alternative. However, this is just another alternative, as the standard radio provides for a hidden radio module to be installed in this DIN slot. Instead of the iPad shown last, the corresponding control panel is mounted on the pipe.
Apple’s iOS CarPlay and Android Auto are integrated into this radio with touch-capable display. In this case, the navigation comes from the cell phone to the display and the sound is generated by the radio module’s amplifier.
If no radio is installed, a Bluetooth-enabled amplifier that receives audio signals from a smartphone can also generate the sound for the speakers.
Cables are always already laid in the base and the customer chooses one of the following variants:
– without everything
– with amplifier and loudspeaker (e.g. in combination with your own iPad)
– with touch radio
Speakers are mounted as two 2-channel models with a diameter of 130 mm on the right and left in the footwell on the outer wall. In addition, two small tweeters are integrated in the dashboard in such a way that they are directed towards the windshield at the optimum angle.
With the three variants, there should be something to suit every taste.
