On May 18, the TWIKE 5 celebrates its official Swiss premiere! At the former Hasenstrick sports airfield in Dürnten (near Zurich), curious visitors will not only have the chance to experience the extraordinary e-vehicle live – but also to take a ride on it.
The TWIKE 5 is not a car like any other. Three wheels, pedal generator, 500 km range – and all this with the equivalent of 0.7 liters of fuel per 100 km. It is being developed in Rosenthal (Germany), but its roots are in Switzerland: 40 years ago, the first TWIKE was created at ETH Zurich – at that time using pure muscle power.
Today, the TWIKE 5 combines high-tech, fitness and a clear conscience. Almost 400 pre-orders have already been placed – and the series is limited to 500 units. By the way, there is real fan power behind the preview event: a group of TWIKE enthusiasts from the Zurich region helped organize the event and also supported the project itself financially.
So if you’ve always wanted to take off emission-free: Now is the time!
