The new board game E gewinnt brings the adventure of electromobility right into your living room. Whether young or old – everyone competes electrically and learns about the relationship between battery size, energy consumption and charging power in a fun way.
So loaded up, ready, go!
The electric race takes you across Europe. Of course, the range of your electric car is not sufficient to reach your destination without stopping to charge. It wouldn’t be any fun, after all, everyone gets hungry or has to pee sometimes.
That’s why the playing field is peppered with normal AC charging stations and particularly fast DC charging stations – just like in real life. And you should also use these so that you don’t run out of energy.
The winner of the game is easy to determine: Whoever reaches the finish line first wins the game.
There are 6 electric cars with different characteristics to choose from: from energy savers to charging bolides. Each car has very different characteristics and a special feature. And a little tip: your charging strategy depends heavily on your vehicle. So think carefully about which e-car you want to start with.
Before we set off, the cars have to be charged, of course. There are green energy modules for this – after all, we also attach great importance to environmentally friendly green electricity. One module corresponds to 5 kWh. Depending on the size of the electric car’s battery, more or fewer modules will fit into the battery.
You have two cubes to choose from for driving: the small blue cube is for the country road. A roll here will cost you less energy, but you won’t be traveling as fast. The red highway cube is faster. Here you get further per roll, but you also have to take more energy blocks from your battery.
If the battery does run out , there will hopefully be a charging station nearby. Normal AC charging stations are more common , but they don’t charge as quickly. The fast DC charging stations, on the other hand, are more exciting. Depending on the car , you can recharge a lot of energy there in a short time. Before you start , however, you have to draw a charging chip and place it on the game board. This determines how quickly the charging station actually charges.
In addition, you must draw a charge card at the start of each charging process. The event described there may or may not affect your charging process. However, we have seen it all: from extremely reliable charging points and parked charging stations to exciting charging conversations that keep you at the charging station for longer than you actually want.
Winter has now arrived in Europe and we already need gloves to plug in the charging cable. And yes, the season also has an influence on the board game. The seasonal clock is turned forward each round. In the 4 winter months, the cars charge a little slower due to the cold battery and consumption is slightly higher. This is also important for the charging strategy.
But where exactly is the journey going? This is determined anew with every game. You can either set a destination yourself or scan the QR code on the route map and receive recommendations for exciting routes for your race.
The aim of E gewinnt is to provide all generations with a playful element to prepare them for the exciting future of electric mobility.
It’s all in the game box:
- Playing field with charging stations
- 6 Electric cars with energy modules
- 66 charging cards
- Woodengame pieces
- AC and DC charging chips
- Red highway cube and blue country road cube
- Seasonal clock and destination marker
With a purchase , you take the game from a spontaneous idea to reality. And by the way, you have another great opportunity to experience all facets of electromobility with friends and family.
Risks and challenges
We are in the middle of preparing the small series – of course, things can get in the way. Although we only use reliable suppliers from Germany, we cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas. In addition, we only have a limited amount of time to produce prototypes of each game component. However, we are confident that the quality of the game will convince you in the end.
We are convinced! And you? If you are interested, we would be delighted if you would support the project HERE ON KICKSTARTER.
