For more than 25 years, TWIKE has been a community-driven project. With the TWIKE 5, we are scaling this approach to series production: it is the first vehicle developed in direct collaboration with its future pilots. This consistent involvement of our community secures valuable market feedback and an extremely loyal, purchase-ready customer base from day one.
Milestones towards Series Readiness
The key foundations for production have been laid:
- The central CAD and data platform, Onshape, is firmly established.
- An end-to-end data structure for purchasing, Bills of Materials (BOM), and production planning has been defined.
- Our production facility is already structured for efficient, scalable series production.
Next Milestone: Completion & Ramp-Up (SOP)
The functional foundation is in place: the vehicle’s skateboard is fully operational, and overall development is 85% complete. For the start of series production, the next step is to finance the final development phase as well as initial material procurement.
To directly leverage the most economical minimum order quantities (500+ units per component), we are currently structuring the required working capital of approximately €6 million for the coming six months.
