TWIKE – Shape the future with us!
From the start, TWIKE has been a community-driven project, designed and built by the people who wanted to drive it. Over the years, its evolution has been shaped by ideas and feedback from TWIKE users.
With the development of the TWIKE 5, we’re taking this principle to the next level. It will be the first production vehicle to be developed in collaboration with its users. Early in the development process, we invited TWIKE pilots and supporters to share their expectations for the new model. The incredible feedback on our blog shows we’re heading in the right direction.
- Migration to Onshape as the central CAD and data platform
- Establishment of an integrated data structure for purchasing, BOM, and series production preparation
- Preparation and reorganization of the workshop for efficient, scalable production
- By the start of production (SOP), every vehicle component must be available on-site at least in the minimum order quantity
- Numerous components must be ordered and prepaid in quantities of 500+ units
- The delivery of the first TWIKE 5 vehicles will not generate any liquidity inflow, as advance payments for these units have already been made
- Overall, this results in a liquidity requirement of approximately €6 million over the next six months
- To cover the liquidity requirement, our primary goal is to increase the advance payment ratio. If 500 pre-order customers make an advance payment of €22,200 each, we will have the necessary liquidity for a smooth production start.
- All information regarding advance payments and rank up of existing payment is available on the website.
- Smaller advance payments starting from €1,000 are also welcome and secure a better ranking for reservation holders who have not yet made an advance payment, especially for access to the TWIKE 5, which is limited to 500 units.
