Twelve teams from Germany, Austria, Italy, France, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic are on the eTour Europe from May 18 – 26. 4200 kilometers are to be covered and should prove the practicality of e-vehicles. At the same time, it is an endurance test for the current charging infrastructure in Europe. The route of the eTour leads via Munich, Spreitenbach (CH), Luxembourg, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, Prague, Budapest and Vienna back to Munich. The initiator of the eTour Europe is Werner Hillebrand-Hansen.

“1000 EVs in Motion”

In addition to the TWIKE, Citroën, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault and Tesla will also be on the tour. Other vehicles can be found at the “e-meeting points”. The organizer invites all owners of e-vehicles to drive to the “meeting points” in the individual cities and “fly the flag” there together with the eTour participants.

DAY 0: Munich Transportation Center

On May 17, the participants met at 10 a.m. in front of the transport center of the Deutsches Museum in Munich, where the eTour began. The eTour Europe is not a leisurely coffee ride, nor is it a real rally, but it is still about winning. The vehicles are divided into different categories. The teams try to arrive as quickly as possible without breaking any traffic regulations. The route is not prescribed, only the stage destinations.

TWIKE Team “Challenge the traditions” also took part in the TW 1000. Early in the morning, of course, it was electric from Rosenthal to Munich.
