September 11, 2021 – TWIKE Station Bern celebrates farewell

From TWIKE Center Bern (ca. 1998) to TWIKE Station Bern. TWIKE partner Maya was already familiar with the TWIKE before the start of the TWIKE series in the 90s and can therefore look back on over 30 years of TWIKE. That's what you call an e-pioneer from the very beginning!

TWIKE STATION BERN BRIEFLY EXPLAINED

The TWIKE Center Bern moved to the railroad tracks back in 2002 under the management of Maya Schnyder. The previous TWIKE Center Bern was replaced by the new, appropriate name TWIKE Station Bern and was able to survive until 2021. Unfortunately, this great facility right next to the tracks of the freight station has now been terminated. We are curious to see where the TWIKE Station Bern will move to in the near future and what new suitable name will be found.

2nd STAGE OF LIFE

However, TWIKE e-pioneer from the very beginning and TWIKE Bern partner Maya Schnyder will no longer be initiating the new move herself. For some time now, Maya has been looking for a successor who has a similar TWIKE spirit and shares her passion for efficient light electric mobility. Maya invited the TWIKE community on September 11, 2021 to officially announce her new chapter in life after more than 25 years at TWIKE Bern.

FAREWELL PARTY TWIKE STATION BERN

The first celebration in 2003, marking the first anniversary of the club’s founding, already demonstrated the advantages of this unique location directly adjacent to the train station. Many TWIKE pilots and friends have enjoyed impressive TWIKE celebrations here on multiple occasions.

Many TWIKE riders will remember the last TWIKE Stations celebration for a very long time. Because many well-known faces from the TWIKE scene did not miss the opportunity to attend in person. Among them: TWIKE inventor Ralph Schnyder and the two other “rocks” of the Dreifels constellation Peter Zeller and Christian Meier, North Cape pioneer Francois Loeb, Marc Bollinger, Stefan Meister, Andrew Campell, other TWIKE partners and many TWIKE pilots from the very beginning.

We wish you all the best and thank you for the great cooperation.
