Indledning
Jeg er blevet spurgt til om jeg kort kan beskrive hvad det er for et køretøj jeg generelt befordrer mig i. Det kan ikke gøres kort så indlægget bliver lidt længere :-) Først vil jeg lige kort fortælle hvem jeg er. Jeg hedder Ole Carlsen, bosat i Skjern, oprindelig udlært automatikmekaniker på DP, stærkstrømstekniker og i dag selvændig.
Histories
OK lad os vende fokus mod det vigtige. Køretøjet hedder TWIKE og er egentlig en forkortelse for TWIKE et køretøj som kan medtage to personer og giver dem mulighed for ved at træde i et par pedaler at udnytte transport tiden til at få motion, vi taler vel lidt et hybrid el-køretøj og ellers sund fornuft.
“Hvem opfandt den?” you might ask for the first time. And it was here that the student from ETH Zurich, a university for science, technology, engineering and mathematics, developed TWIKE’s forerunner to the 1986 Vancouver study. Ideas were good enough to be successful, but in the meantime TWIKE has been a long time in the making.

Året 1986 saw prototypes for TWIKE as a to-sædet cykel med karrosseri. It weighed 50 kg and could accelerate by pedaling at a speed of up to 50 km/h. The bike has a price for ergonomics during the Vancouver trials.

In 1991 the TWIKE 2 was launched, and in the meantime it has become a daily driver with an electric hand-operated motor.

In 1995, TWIKE AG started series production of the TWIKE 3 and the first 190 TWIKE 3s were delivered. These sker fra faciliteter i Schweiz

In 1998, the company FINE Mobile GmbH, which is the main importer for the German market, was established. After a few turbulent years for the Swiss production business resulting in bankruptcy, FINE Mobile GmbH also took over its own production in 2002.
With new batteries, TWIKE was able to offer a range of over 100 km for the first time in 2005 and in 2007 the next store spring for ranges with LION batteries. Now up to 200 km range and total forsvinder with battery life – TWIKE kørsel has always been a newcomer.
In 2014 the development of the next TWIKE based on TW4XP (the navigation system is not a part of it), which was originally a prototype for an XPRIZE competition, TW4XP – TWIKE for XPRIZE.
TWIKE skriver you?
But what is a TWIKE like? Yes, it’s a 3-wheeled bike with 2 seats and 1 fork seat, in the same design as the Dutch Ellert and registered as a motorcycle in Denmark. You have a reason to buy a car so that you can get a good impression of yourself and your surroundings. Køretøjet is driven by a 3-faset asynchronous motor that draws its energy from the battery via a special battery charger and the built-in frequency converter. There are 5 gears for the mechanical pedal rotation, an integrated 3kW charger, integrated computer/control unit and overvoltage of the battery system. You can start the engine quickly by pressing the remote control, or you can start the engine before the brakes are applied. The control panel is equipped with an electronic start button, a code and on the display you can read out important information such as speed, speed, drift and battery data. On the right-hand side, you will find the mulighed for an electric charger that allows you to load with a speed of approx. 2 km per minute, together with the mulighed for the bredder baggage/baggage compartment, which requires a high level of comfort and stability.
Til et basis køretøj kan der vælges farve, batteri størrelse, aftageligt tag type, sæde type og indetæppe alt selvfølgelig mod en ekstra omkostning :-)
The highest TWIKE ejer, jeg har hørt om, er på lidt over 200cm så hr. Bent Olsen that should also be a challenge for you, but you have to wait a few years for us to finish ;-)
For lige at vende tilbage til batteri udviklingen omtalt i starten. Since I bought my TWIKE, it was necessary to increase the battery capacity to ~8.5kWh and in 2015 it was increased to ~16.0kWh in the last 4 years. However, in the previous year, the energy consumption was increased by 13% so that it is now at ~18.2kWh
Sportskøretøj – menneske-maskine
TWIKE is in principle the only pedal-assisted bike that combines an electric motor with pedal power. Muscle power is directly related to kinetic energy. This does not increase the effectiveness of the pedal stroke, but it does reduce the risk of injury. Due to the use of pedals, the TWIKE is the closest thing to a pure form for transporting the traction-mask to the muscles and body. That’s what I’m looking for :-) Before most of the muscle power, the rider has to be ready for it. A person who is not trained can have an effect of 100 to 200 W. In combination, it can be seen that if you ride a ‘standard’ bike for approx. 34 km/t, the pedal power is approx. 315W, which is not enough. The 100-200W reduces 10-20% of the total energy consumption at a speed of 50 km/t. Pedal-drev is designed to underpower motors, but not as the driven kilde, jeg har testet og den er næsten umulig at køre ved pedal kraft alene.
The principle of pedal-turn and electric motor combinations, including the handling of these, is mostly done by means of a shifting mechanism in the middle of the console, before the pedal turns directly on the drive shaft; pedals are controlled by the cable, motors by the transmission. The speed can be controlled by the speed control and, if the pedal is pressed, the control unit switches the motor’s speed off for the duration of the ride.
Betjening
TWIKEn primarily operates via a ‘joysticket’ in the middle that includes color control, motor brake and flashing lights, as well as mechanical forks for the fork. On the opposite side to the parking brake, you will find functions such as a long brake pedal, horn, vindue visor and mechanical gear shift for pedal rotation. Pedal rotation is also prohibited for mechanical brakes. On the control panel, you will find information about drifting functions such as the lock, catastrophic blink, tachometer, and the inclusion of varms that have been in use for up to 1 minute and are therefore not subject to the battery charge and the control of the door/hatch.
In the middle of the console you will find a handbrake, a door/ hatch cover and a ‘gear’ to ensure the best possible braking and the pedals can be turned. Passengers also have a few pedals, but they can only be used for braking and have some influence on the mechanical brakes, for example.
Hvordan er den så at køre?
Surprising nem og det siger jeg efter erindringen om min egen første tur. I ordered my TWIKE to have the first one checked. Since the next one was early, I didn’t go to another shop in Sprakebüll (Tyskland) to at least have it checked. My first tank of gas, since I was now sad in my own TWIKE, was no longer in the mood for: “OK, what did I buy?” for the first time, but I naturally fell in love with it, not a step further in the process. I was determined to find out what it was like for me to be able to write about it after the event and to have all the prayers in my hands all the time. I’ve had one for a couple of years now that I want to try my TWIKE with a view to getting TWIKE ejer and I’ve been looking for the same thing as I thought after the first day :-)
However, as a result of a heavy rainstorm, it only crumbles as soon as you move into the strong wind. I didn’t expect it to be stormy, but in the DMI there is a lot of stormy weather, but it’s not too bad.
Men hvad koster en TWIKE?
Price? Det er en hobby og det er ligesom en kvindes alder, så det snakker vi ikke om. Hint! Basic prices can be found on this homepage, but they are in €.
Den er nok ikke at kategorisere som billig men for mig er det den perfekte måde at transportere sig. jeg kommer frem og jeg får rørt mig. Sund fornuft. :-)
Dagligdags-brug
For daily transportation a TWIKE is perfect, jeg har før arbejdet i Avlum og kørte dertil i TWIKE det meste af året, det vards alt en daglig tur på små 90 km. I’m driving a Swiss-made bike that covers approx. 45,000 km during the year and his TWIKE was built in 1996.
I myself have purchased a baggage platform that can reimburse passengers if, for example, you have to carry and transport heavy goods.
Dagligdags-økonomi
But what about the daytime economy? If you choose to use the service, the cost of the hull is about 1700kr. per year, the price of the vehicle is 690kr. per year, and with a low price, about 50km/t, you pay 20km per kWh. If you choose this service, the price is only slightly higher but still around 500-1000€ per year.
Længere ture/ferie
But can you really need a credit card to order it over a longer distance? Yes, I’d like to think that it takes a long time, but it can be done. It doesn’t really make much sense to use a 230V cable for charging during the day. Personligt kører jeg hvert år en tur til Rosenthal (Hessen) i Tyskland for at få lavet service en lille tur over 1450km tur-retur, det er 2×2 dages transport og 3 dages ferie i området.
Jeg har en bekendt som er bosat i Marrakesh (Marokko) vi købte hver vores TWIKE samtidig og hun tager service turen til Rosenthal hvert år, det er er trods alt små 6.000km tur-retur. In 2014, she started her journey from Marrakesh to Rosenthal and then continued with a trip to Skjern and then to Iceland (yes, the northernmost part of the country). Before that, it was a long and hard day.
