TWIKE 3 – TIPS FOR OUR PILOTS

Less is sometimes more. This applies not only to the TWIKE, but also to cleaning it, for example. We are happy to provide some tips for our TWIKE 3 pilots.

Our tips for TWIKE 3 riders:

GRUNDREINIGUNG

The basic cleaning of the TWIKE should always be done with water and a suitable cleaner, e.g. car shampoo.

STUBBORN STAINS

Stubborn stains can be tackled with appropriate cleaners.

Some examples:

  • Insects -> Insect cleaner
  • Greasy spots -> grease-dissolving cleaner (e.g. brake cleaner)
  • Adhesive residue (e.g. from stickers) -> label remover/brake cleaner
  • Greyed areas -> Interflon/Teflon/wax/car polish/cleaning stone/bathroom scouring milk

After removing stubborn dirt, the surface should be polished and sealed again with wax. We use Interflon, Teflon and Wax for this, which are also suitable for pre-cleaned windscreens of the soft top. Car hard wax can also be used for the bodywork, especially for painted surfaces.

PLEASE NOTE

  • The plastic of the TWIKE 3 is not GRP, but LuranS.

TYRE PRESSURE

Our recommendations

  • Pre-tyre: 3 – 5 bar
  • Rear tyre: 4.5 – 5.5 bar
  • Riding back “fat tyre” 2 – 3.5 bar or up to the maximum value printed on the tyre

GEAR OIL

With a 3×3 engine, a quarter (0.25) litre fits into the gearbox. However, the oil does not come out completely when draining, as there are slight ridges in the aluminium housing where the cover screws are located. Therefore, the oil level should be measured from above from time to time during topping up. The oil level is 25 mm ± 5 mm horizontally.
