Like the TWIKE 3, the TWIKE 5 will shine in terms of simplicity. However, simplicity does not have to mean sacrifice, but can be a gain.

We have put together a few questions from our TWIKE 5 community that highlight the “simplicity” of the TWIKE. We will be happy to answer any further questions in the comments.
What does noble purist mean?
Noble purist is a word creation of its own and could also read noble minimalist, for example. The term illustrates the principle of reduction to the essentials, which can, however, be implemented with high-quality materials and product details. Without sacrificing appearance or value, this principle allows for weight-saving construction, reduces complexity and favors timeless design.
What information will be shown on the display?
The legally required information (speed, mileage, light control, …) and other important basic data (energy content, remaining autonomy, …) are shown in a timeless round display and can be found in the same way in every TWIKE 5. This can also be used to read and select the charging parameters in charging mode (desired departure time, desired next range, maximum power of the socket if limited) and to adjust the heating status of the interior at the time of departure (ice-free … 15°C).
Additional small computers (smartphone, pad) can be connected as an option, which can provide individually important information.
What about the radio/speakers/sound system?
Radio preparation is included in the base (cable laid ready to plug in). As an option, high-quality 2-way built-in speakers can be supplied or simply retrofitted. Alternatively, simple Bluetooth speakers can also be connected for removal.
Will the batteries be retrofittable like on the TWIKE 3 ?
As with the TWIKE 3, it is planned to be able to retrofit batteries.
Can the TWIKE be charged at a simple household socket?
Of course. Because like the TWIKE 3, the TWIKE 5 can also be regulated down to 2A .
Which heating system is intended for the TWIKE 5 ?
The TWIKE 5 will have heated grips and optional heated seats. Even the basic version comes with integrated windshield heating and electric heating in the air flow. All heaters are deliberately supplied with energy from the charging socket before the journey in order to efficiently pre-condition the interior. In order to save energy, the heaters are deliberately located where the heat is required, so that the range is only reduced as little as possible even during the actual journey and simultaneous use of the heating system. An optional cooling system is still being tested and we will only be able to confirm this once it has been approved.
What color will the TWIKE 5 be?
The basic color results from the fiber mix of the outer skin parts. In the area of the roll bar, the windshield frame or the hood, a higher proportion of carbon is to be expected, therefore darker to black. In the area of the sacrificial parts (front cap or mudguards), a higher proportion of natural fibers is aimed for, therefore lighter to green-greyish.
Overall, however, these parts will be covered over a large area with a wrap film, so the base color is more likely to be considered dark neutral.
