TWIKE 5 vs. TWIKE 3

The two TWIKE models have a lot in common. Yet, they differ greatly.
´TWIKE 5 vs. TWIKE 3

One wheel at the front, two wheels at the rear, a central canopy opens upwards, the two passengers sit side-by-side, electric drive, pedal assist, and sidestick steering. So far, the description applies to both the TWIKE 3 and the TWIKE 5.

However, opinions diverge when it comes to performance data, because the TW5 has about 15 times the nominal power of the TW3, and its top speed of 190 km/h will be more than twice as high as that of its 85 km/h fast predecessor. While the TW3 originally entered the market as a weather-protected, super-fast e-bike and still proves its qualities in this class today, the TW 5 presumes to displace a car in everyday use and even be the higher-performing sports car. The higher performance data forced automotive solutions onto the chassis, which, although they increased the weight of the three-wheel concept, have an entirely positive effect on perceived quality. Test pilots already attest to the underlying production predecessor of the TWIKE 5 “a different class”.

The following table values illustrate this:
