TWIKE 5 – Warum max. 190 km/h?

Does it always have to be high speeds? No, but in some cases the resulting better acceleration can be very useful.

What maximum speed are you aiming for?

In fact, the TWIKE 5 is intended to take up the cudgels for the safe driving stability of well-made, lightweight three-wheeled vehicles and will prove this impressively in an open performance version. The top speed of this version will be around 190 km/h. It should be noted that the maximum speed can only be reached with a battery capacity of 6 batteries or more.

How does the TWIKE react at high speeds?

Aerodynamically, the speed in terms of downforce and crosswind susceptibility will still be a final task and therefore we reserve the right to optimize the outer skin design until the series release. We will make sure that it is easy to drive. And the current design status is already a good starting point.

What about emergency braking at this speed?
Will the system still be stable?

We are well equipped for emergency braking (including repeated braking maneuvers) with sufficiently dimensioned brake components. The low and correctly positioned center of gravity of the vehicle ensures high tipping stability.

What cornering speed is possible?

The cornering stability on which the chassis design is based is of the same order of magnitude as that of a sporty BMW 5 Series. The TWIKE 5 will set new standards in the 3-wheeler class.

Can the TWIKE be throttled so that it can only be driven with a”moped driver’s license”?

We are not planning to restrict the bike to be compatible with a moped driver’s license.
But the TWIKE can be ridden from the age of 16. We have posted an article about this on our TWIKE blog.
How about a three-wheeled bike, possibly with e-support from e.g. Hase Bikes and a fabric top if you need weather protection(https://konfigurator.hasebikes.com/de/index/trigo.html).
