The WAVE – World Advanced Vehicle Expedition is the largest electric car rally in the world and will take you across Europe in 9 days – from Baden-Württemberg via Bavaria to Switzerland in 2014! The WAVE aims to show that electric vehicles powered by renewable energies are already available today and are suitable for everyday use – and offer plenty of fun!
Day 1: Stuttgart – Bietigheim – Bissingen – Heilbronn – Stuttgart – Schorndorf – Heilbronn – Wolpertshausen – Nördlingen – Neuburg – Pfaffenhofen.
Unfortunately, the two TWIKEs were not allowed to take part in the world record attempt that took place in the morning. A TWIKE is not recognized as an electric vehicle due to its built-in pedal drive. At the 2013 world record attempt at the Zürifescht, this regulation was still very unclear, which is why a large number of TWIKEs took part. However, in retrospect it turned out that the TWIKEs that presented themselves with the chain removed were also not included in the ranking. This year, it can be expected that hardly any TWIKEs will make the trip to Stuttgart.
