These thoughts guided us in the design of the opening in the hood and the design of the side window. The latter is inserted behind the door leaf when it is opened and only requires short guide rails to ensure a safe and tight fit in the upper end position.
As much as we ourselves are fans of pure mechanics, the final decision was made in favor of the electric lifting mechanism. On the one hand, the safer user-friendliness was decisive, but on the other hand, the low costs also spoke in favor of this solution.
For example, the window on the passenger side can also be closed from the driver’s side at the touch of a button. The driver does not have to take their hands off the steering levers any longer than necessary. The fabric roof can be easily opened partially or fully from the inside with a zipper and can also be closed again quickly from the sitting position if rain threatens.
