The aim was to create a timeless circular display, positioned only a short distance from the viewing angle of the road. The speed, the most important information, is shown in the form of a color-coded sub-circle as well as in clear numbers. Below this is the cruise control target speed set using buttons. Legally prescribed displays for indicator control, the high beam, the status of the braking system and more are realized with so-called telltales in the edge area of the 7-inch touch display and only appear when required.
The instrument and the parameters shown on it can be operated via the touch surface of the display as well as by thumb using scroll buttons on the right-hand handle and another keypad in the dashboard that can also be accessed by the passenger. Last but not least, the CAN bus-capable instrument, which was specially developed for tough on-road and off-road use, visualizes the pedal power, for example.
