Back in 2000, when Elon Musk was learning to, the TWIKE was setting world records for the longest distance traveled in an electric production vehicle. Even back in 2013 when the Tesla Model S was beginning to hit the troad, the TWIKE out lasted Tesla by about 57 miles (92 km).

Elektroauto-News.net: TWIKE 5 aims for series production start in late fall this year

Im September vergangenen Jahres haben wir davon berichtet, dass das Twike 5 seine Finanzierung gestemmt hat. Der Start of Production war für den Februar 2020 angestrebt. Verzögert sich nun aber um einige Monate. Wobei diese Verzögerung bewusst in Kauf genommen wird, wie uns mitgeteilt wurde. Nach aktuellem Planungsstand werden die ersten mustermäßigen Prototypen erst im Sommer aufgebaut. Der anschließende Produktionshochlauf geschieht dann im späten Herbst dieses Jahres.
